    Kiwi domestique Patrick Bevin finished with the front bunch in 27th while George Bennett was 94th.

    Bennett's Jumbo Visma teammate Primoz Roglic continues to wear the tour leader's jersey.

    Across the border in Italy, Julian Alaphilippe won in a sprint finish on stage two of the Tirreno-Adriatico.

    Kiwi domestiques Jack Bauer and Tom Scully finished safely in the field.

    Jumbo Visma's Wout Van Aert continues to lead the general classification.
