A new report suggests some teachers resist having learning support coordinators
20 March 2021
The Government introduced the assistance network last year.
More than 400 schools contributed to the Ministry of Education review - with more than 70 percent saying they were satisfied with the learning support.
But half the coordinators say they encountered issues, trying to get support for children.
And a third say they are still unclear about their responsibilities.
Some coordinators also say they found themselves doing work that wasn't formally part of their role.
