The Carterton District Council's hoping to lift a boil water notice next week
21 March 2021
It's been in place since March 12 after low-level readings of E. coli bacteria in its pipes.
The Council says there have been no reports of illness and it's narrowed down on the potential source.
The Council is going through a methodical process of flushing the pipe system, increasing chlorination levels, and retesting multiple sites.
It says anyone using water connected to the town supply must boil all water for drinking, food needs or brushing teeth.
