Hospital staff facing huge demand are being forced to treat patients in corridors

Whangarei and Dunedin hospitals have issued a 'Code Black' alert - and are urging the public to seek care elsewhere, unless it's urgent.
Dunedin Hospital Senior Management Nursen Anne Daniels, says part of the problem is a lack of good primary health care, with five patients today reporting they couldn't book an appointment with their GP for two weeks.
Health Minister Andrew Little boosted DHB funding by 980-million dollars last year, and says the problem is because of poor management.
