Tom Walsh is happy with his progression leading into the Tokyo Olympics

The Olympic bronze medallist has won the men's shot put at the national track and field championships in Hastings with a throw of 21.70 metres - his season's best.

Walsh says when he feels good in the circle, everything flows like a river - and he felt that in every throw.

He says heading overseas is the next step in preparing him for the Games.
