Athletics New Zealand will discuss what role Nick Willis plays at the Tokyo Olympics this week

The two-time Games medallist is on the fringe of conditional selection, with the nomination panel to meet Thursday.

High performance boss Scott Goodman says they'll discuss whether the middle-distance runner is capable of a top-16 finish.

Willis' season-best is almost four seconds off the qualifying standard.
