Prejudice in our justice system could be failing sexual assault victims

The Justice Ministry reports just 31 per cent of rape charges resulted in a conviction in the last year.
That's compared with the conviction rate for other charges, which sits at 71 per cent.
Rape Prevention Education's Executive Director says juries have no training about laws of consent.
Debbi Tohill says they could be easily influenced by rape culture, which pushes blame on the victim.
She says defense lawyers can be problematic - and even judges need more training for sexual violence cases.
