Proposed funding changes for pre-natal doctor's visits have been condemned by one advocate

Women in New Zealand are entitled to one free doctor's visit for urgent pregnancy or postnatal care.
However health officials have proposed scrapping the free visits.
Action to Improve Maternity spokesperson Jenn Hooper says there is no alternative to a doctor's expertise.
Ms Hooper says midwives aren't equipped to deal with some of the problems pregnant women face.
