    An extraordinary day of events off the pitch in England has ended with all six Premier League clubs pulling out of the breakaway European Super League


    The public backlash over Manchester United, Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea joining clubs from Spain and Italy in a new exclusive European competition has been overwhelming.

    Chelsea and Brighton played out a goalless draw in the Premier League this morning and Brighton midfielder Adam Lallana is hailing the power of the fans to prevail over the greedy club owners.
