    People in Porirua ... are being asked to stay out of water near a burst sewage pipe


    A wastewater main on Paremata Road ruptured early this morning.

    State Highway 58, is down to one lane until about 11.30 between James Cook Drive and the Paremata roundabout, while Wellington Water crews permanently fix the pipe.

    Pollution signs have also been put up at Browns Bay for 24 hours, and precautionary water tests taken.
