Concern about a possible increase in parents going to great lengths to get their kids into certain schools

Some zone changes occur on May 3, as part of Education Ministry plans to create or shift enrolment schemes at 135 schools.
Auckland Secondary Schools' Principals' Association president Steve Hargreaves says there are parents who buy or rent their way in-zone, which drives up housing costs.
He says some others find ways to fake their addresses.
Hargreaves says some schools already have procedures in place to scrutinise and verify enrolment details.
