Self-testing could be a valuable resource in reducing cervical cancer deaths, according to new research

A study at Massey University found if women can test themselves at home they're more likely to get it done.
It's hoped the method willhelp Maori, Pacific and Asian women, who are less likely to get screened at their doctor's.
Massey University health professor John Potter says there is a place for self-testing.
He says it wouldn't take much in the way of additional effort, or money.
