Stuart Nash has announced an "immigration reset", saying we need to stop relying on low-wage migrants -- and focus on bringing in highly-skilled workers.
Business New Zealand Chief Executive Kirk Hope says attracting overseas investment is important.
But, he says we also need a workforce that meets the needs of business.
Kirk Hope says skill shortages are already hitting New Zealand businesses, in a range of sectors.
He says it's disappointing the Government is saying migration suppresses wages.
