Auckland rents have reached an all time high -- but only just

Latest rental data to the end of March shows an annual lift of 3.3 per cent.

Barfoot and Thompson data shows rent for a three bedroom property has risen from an average 597 dollars a week in late 2019 -- to 603 dollars a week.

Director Kiri Barfoot says rents are rising at a relatively measured pace, by only three to five per cent annually.

Rents on properties with five or more bedrooms remained relatively static, up less than a per cent.
