A prediction the Official Cash Rate will remain unchanged today

A prediction the Official Cash Rate will remain unchanged today

The Reserve Bank is releasing its latest monetary policy statement at 2pm - with the OCR expected to stay at the record low 0.25 per cent.

ASB Chief Economist Nick Tuffley says OCR changes are likely further down the track.

He says in the second half of next year, with the economy doing much better and more inflation pressure coming through that's when they'd expect to see the rate gradually start to increase.
