Concerns changes to the retirement industry won't go far enough

The Retirement Village Association is promising to make improvements, after the Associate Housing Minister slammed the complaints system.
Consumer NZ also found terms and operations aren't transparent or fair for some residents.
Its Head of Research, Jessica Wilson, is sceptical about the promises.
She doesn't think leaving the industry to regulate itself will deliver the changes needed, saying they've had more than a decade to sort it out.
