Police say they've dealt a huge blow to organised crime after an international sting netted 35 arrests

Police say they've dealt a huge blow to organised crime after an international sting netted 35 arrests

They include members of the Waikato Comancheros and Mongrel Mob, and Head Hunters.

More than 900 charges have been laid - and the arrested have appeared in court today.

Detective Superintendent Greg Williams says the FBI created an encrypted platform called ANOM , which criminals allegedly used to communicate.

He says through Police sharing agreements they could access and see communications between organised crime groups.
