Camila Mendes and Charles Melton are back together

The 'Riverdale' co-stars - who play Veronica Lodge and Reggie Mantle respectively - split up in 2019, but they are now said to have rekindled their romance on the set of The CW drama series

A source said: "The break was nice for them and they reconnected on set of 'Riverdale'.

"Being around all of their mutual friends and hanging out together often made them realise they still have a strong connection and chemistry.

"They care a lot about each other and have a bond from filming together for so many hours each day."

But the reunited pair aren't said to be in a rush to take things too seriously for now.

The source added to E! News: "It's going well and they aren't putting too much stress on the relationship."

It comes after Camila's one-year romance with photographer Grayson Vaughan ended in February.

In April, the 26-year-old star admitted she and her 'Riverdale' co-stars Lili Reinhart and Madelaine Petch - who have been shooting the show in Canada - "bonded" more after their relationships ended.

She said: "We all got out of relationships at the same time and then went through this pandemic together.

"And now we've been bonded by how much change has happened. Me, Madelaine and Lili, specifically, we've never been closer than we have this season.

"It's really nice to have them, to feel like I do have friendships here

    - meaningful ones."

Camila and Charles' initial split was reported in December 2019.

A source said at the time: "Cami and Charles have been separated for a few months now. They are taking a break from their relationship.

"Their relationship escalated very quickly and they are taking time now to focus on their work and themselves."
