There's a distinct Chiefs flavour to the Maori All Blacks' backline for their clash against Samoa in Wellington on Saturday

There's a distinct Chiefs flavour to the Maori All Blacks' backline for their clash against Samoa in Wellington on Saturday

Coach Clayton McMillan - who also mentors the Chiefs - has selected four of his Super Rugby backs in Kaleb Trask, Shaun Stevenson, Alex Nankivell and Sean Wainui to start.

But, he says the selections come down to a desire for combinations.

Debutants Josh Dickson and Jacob Norris have been named on the bench.

New Zealand Cricket is looking to capitalise on the Black Caps ICC World Test Championship victory.

CEO David White says their playing numbers increased 12 per cent last summer, and their focus is on achieving sustained success.

Kiwi golfer Lydia Ko will play alongside American Nelly Korda and England's Georgia Hall in the first round of the women's PGA Championship, starting early tomorrow morning.

The third women's golf major of the year starts in Atlanta, with Ko chasing her third career Major victory.

The Atlanta Hawks have upset the Milwaukee Bucks 116-113 in game one of the Eastern Conference finals series in the NBA playoffs.
