The number of people crossing the border is continuing to increase -- largely due to the trans-Tasman bubble

New figures from Stats NZ show trans-Tasman travel made up more than 90-percent of all border crossings during May.
In total, there were more than 91-thousand arrivals, and more than 98-thousand departures.
Meanwhile, in the year to May, migrant arrivals were down 75 percent, and departures were down 55 percent.
Annual net migration was below six-thousand -- compared to more than 87-thousand in the year to May last year.
