Numbers of people on the benefit fell more than 11 thousand over the June quarter.
Social Development and Employment Minister Carmel Sepuloni says it bucks the seasonal trend of a rise at this time of year.

Sepuloni says it shows the Government's plan to increase work focused support is paying off.
