Police concede the brutal feud between the King Cobras and Rebels is putting the community at risk

Police concede the brutal feud between the King Cobras and Rebels is putting the community at risk

Homes, cars and businesses have been targeted in drive-by shootings and firebombing, in ongoing tit-for-tat violence between the two gangs.

There have been at least 12 attacks since May.

Just last night, two King Cobras members turned up to Middlemore Hospital with gunshot wounds, but are refusing to talk to police.

Counties Manukau Detective Inspector Chris Barry says their job is made challenging because they don't get straight answers or truthful accounts.

He says that's why it's important that the family members and associates of these gang members put their influence on the gang members to bring this to an end.
