The country's heading for a cold change

The country's heading for a cold change

Weather forecasters are signalling a southwesterly front that could bring deep snow in the mountains and snow flurries at lower levels.

MetService meteorologist Tuporo Masters says they're keeping a watch on the Southland, Central Otago and the Canterbury back country.

He says it's difficult to be certain, but it could see snow falling as low as 200 to 300 metres over the weekend.
