Some Wellington businesses believe there needs to be less tolerance for crime in the city

Police data shows thefts in the capital have been steadily rising since 2017.
May this year saw the biggest spike - with nearly 400 robberies.
Night and Day owner, Hamish Garrick, says people steal from his store every other day.
Garrick says there needs to be urgent action on crime or it will just keep growing.
