The media company, which owns Newstalk ZB, music stations and the Herald has made a net profit after tax of 5.6 million dollars in the half year to June 30.
It's also cut debt by a further 15.2 million dollars - to 18.6 million.
NZME CEO Michael Boggs says shareholders haven't seen a return since 2018, so it's nice to be able to reinstate that.
He says they'll receive a dividend of three cents per share in September.
