Queenstown's normally bustling airport remains in limbo until alert levels drop down to Two

Queenstown's normally bustling airport remains in limbo until alert levels drop down to Two

The terminal's empty until at least the next review on Monday, after thousands of holidaymakers made their way home before the lockdown.

Airport community affairs manager Sara Irvine says the airport is officially open for essential travel.

But she says there are no scheduled aircraft moving at the moment.

Work on a terminal upgrade resumed yesterday with only essential and construction workers on site.
