Hospitals in Auckland are building more isolation rooms for Covid-19 patients in case of another surge

Thirty-two people are in the region's hospitals with the virus - eight in ICU and three on ventilators.
Northern Region Health Coordination Centre says because the Delta variant is so infectious, they've been working to increase negative pressure bed capacity in general wards, intensive care units and Emergency Departments.
A spokesperson says it some cases it means minor works to reconfigure a suitable space, but in others it involves engineering works.
