Police are tracking the movements of a covid-positive man who allegedly escaped MIQ in Auckland this morning

Authorities were notified four hours ago the man had escaped a managed quarantine facility in Ellerslie.
Superintendent Steve Kehoe says officers surrounded an Otahuhu address a short time ago and are preparing to make an arrest.
He says they're liaising with the Ministry of Health to understand his movements since leaving MIQ.
Police staff are dressed in full PPE and have been following all health guidelines, in accordance with Police COVID-19 procedures.
