Health officials have been urging more people to get tests - particularly in Mt Eden, Massey, Mangere, Favona, Papatoetoe, Otara and Manurewa.
We have 14 new community cases today - taking the outbreak total to 983.
Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield has thanked people getting swabbed.
He says numbers increased across Tamaki Makaurau yesterday - with just over 10 thousand people getting tested.
There's been an unexpected Covid detection in a wastewater sample from September 7 at Snells Beach in Northland - and additional testing is being done.
