    Police have confirmed a body found in Auckland's Manurewa on Saturday was a 16-year-old girl


    A homicide investigation's been launched into her death.

    Her family has requested to not release her name at this stage -- and are seeking an interim suppression.

    Police are continuing to analyse CCTV footage as part of the investigation and making inquiries in the area.
