    Overnight closures on Auckland's Northern Motorway begin tonight


    Waka Kotahi New Zealand Transport Agency advises overnight closures for essential maintenance will take place on State Highway 1 between Silverdale and Johnstones Hill tunnel.

    Motorists can expect closures between 8 at night and 5 in the morning from tonight until Thursday.

    A detour via the Hibiscus Coast Highway to the Waiwera Puhoi tunnels junction is available.
