New Zealand's residential real estate resilience means big price jumps in all major centres

CoreLogic's 'Mapping the Market Report' shows 771 of the country's 983 suburbs have seen median increases in the past year of 100-thousand-dollars or more.
Chief Property Economist Kelvin Davidson says the figures are staggering.
He says the dollar gains in some of the more expensive suburbs are very high -- up to 400 to 500-thousand dollars.
Auckland's Herne Bay is the country's priciest suburb -- with a median value of 3.25-million.
Ponsonby is the country's top performer, with a gain of nearly 600-thousand-dollars.
