A drop in alert levels for Auckland will come down to cases with missing links

Cabinet meets tomorrow to review the city's alert level settings.

There were 27 community cases of covid-19 yesterday, five are under investigation.

There was also another possible exposure event at Middlemore Hospital on Friday night.

Otago University Epidemiologist Professor Michael Baker says that shows we still have ongoing transmission.

He says some of the unexpected cases are particularly concerning -- as they are people who are turning up to hospital or people in custodial care.
