High-risk workers in the health and disability sector must be fully vaccinated by December 1, and get their first dose by October 30.
It includes GPs, pharmacists, midwives, aged care workers and paramedics.
College of GPs president, Samantha Murton, says most people will be onboard with it but there will be some pushback.
She says vaccines have been around since the 60s and because we haven't seen all the nasty diseases they've treated over the years, some people think we can get by without vaccines.
