Aaron Gate's ready to get the legs pumping in the velodrome once again for the first time since his Olympic heartbreak in Tokyo

Aaron Gate's ready to get the legs pumping in the velodrome once again for the first time since his Olympic heartbreak in Tokyo

The 30-year-old fractured his clavicle in the race for bronze in the men's team pursuit.

He's had two surgeries on his collarbone since, and will don the silver fern as part of a small kiwi contingent at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships in Northern France next week.

Gate says the event is the first stepping stone for Paris 2024.
