Dunedin's building inspectors are struggling to keep up with demand

New figures from the Dunedin City Council show it's been a record-breaking year for the building industry.
Nearly three thousand-200 building consent applications have been lodged in the last financial year.
Fahey Kwiat Builders director Michael Fahey says there's only so much it can do to assist the council.
He says it's about managing the number of consents coming through - and that boils down to the staffing they have.
