Getting the gangs vaccinated is being seen as important for the whole country

Getting the gangs vaccinated is being seen as important for the whole country

Health officials say the virus has seated itself in the gang environment and the homeless during this outbreak.

Auckland University public health Associate Professor, Collin Tukuitonga, says he and a colleague will be making a presentation about vaccinations to the Mongrel Mob, and answering their questions.

He says it's fortunate Mob leaders support vaccination.

Tukuitonga says it's important for them and their whanau, but also for all of us because it will impact everyone in New Zealand if we don't protect all communities.
