Whittaker's has been crowned exporter of the year at the Wellington Export Awards.

The awards celebrate successful businesses in greater Wellington, putting the capital on the world stage.

Other awards were also given out to companies such as popular peanut butter brand Fix and Fog, that took out the best emerging business.

Wellington Chamber of Commerce chief executive Simon Arcus says it's important to acknowledge those who are keeping Wellington's economy running during the pandemic.
