Alinghi Red Bull Racing has wasted no time firing up their America's Cup campaign

Alinghi Red Bull Racing has wasted no time firing up their America's Cup campaign

Newstalk ZB understands they've purchased Team New Zealand's first AC75 Te Aihe as a training boat and are in the process of repainting it in Alinghi colours.

Meanwhile Brad Butterworth has confirmed his role in the team he helped first win the America's Cup off Team New Zealand in 2003.

The former tactician is an Alinghi board member and cultural ambassador.
