    Strong winds and blustery conditions are the likely cause of a rash of retirements in the Sydney to Hobart


    More than a quarter of the 88-strong fleet have retired in little more than 18 hours.

    The three supermaxis were all still racing and at the front of the pack this morning, with Monaco's Black Jack in the lead.
