The seamer has finally broken the 158-run fifth-wicket stand between captain Mominul Haque and Liton Das.
It was the skipper, Haque, who fell first through LBW, for 88, on Spark Sport.
And it was Das who followed him to the sheds for 86, just moments later.
Bangladesh are now 375 for six late in the day, leading by 47 runs.
The Black Caps went through the entire second session without claiming a wicket.
