The South Island could be the place to go if you want cheaper fuel this summer

Due to the pandemic fuel prices dropped at the beginning of 2021.
However, during the year demand increased causing a rise in prices at the pump.
The current average for 91 petrol is sitting around two dollars 59 cents a litre.
AA Principal Policy Advisor Terry Collins says there's spots around the country that are cheaper than others.
He says there's a trend the further south you go, the cheaper the petrol.
