    As New Zealand prepares for Omicron - Wellington has hit its Covid-19 vaccination target for Maori


    Capital and Coast DHB has confirmed it's the first To successfully double-jab 90 percent of eligible Maori.

    It comes as the Health Ministry confirms the super-infectious Omicron variant is likely to to hit the community in two to four weeks.

    Auckland University pacific health expert Colin Tukuitonga says he hopes Wellington's achievement will encourage other district health boards to follow suit.
