A warning to Toyota Aqua owners
A warning to Toyota Aqua owners
14 January 2022
Police say Toyota Aqua's and Nissan Tiidas appear to be frequently targeted.
They're are seeing a trend of Aqua's being stolen and used in serious commercial burglaries.
Thieves are smashing the car's small quarter light windows to reach in and unlock the car before then popping the car's ignition.
Owners of these cars should use a steering lock, install an immobiliser and alarm and avoid parking on the street.
If you have to park on the street, police advise you park in well-lit areas such as under street lights.
