    English Premier League battlers Watford FC have confirmed the appointment of ex-England boss Roy Hodgson as the club's new manager

    It comes a day after the club sacked Claudio Ranieri with the club 19th on the competition log.

    Hodgson, who retired last year after a stint with Crystal Palace, has been tempted to return to the coaching game with the task of keeping Watford in the top flight.
