It's costing some cars up to nine-dollars more to fill up -- compared to this time last month.
Fuel tracking website Gaspy shows Unleaded 95 has passed three-dollars a litre at more than a dozen petrol stations.
Auckland Action Against Poverty coordinator Brooke Pao Stanley says this is adding pressure alongside high rents and rising food prices.
She says the people and families they support are in constant stress mode, and it's taking a massive toll on people's wellbeing.
