The West Coast is back in the firing line

MetService has issued another Orange Warning for the region, following heavy rain battering the area last week.

A state of emergency was declared in Buller, forcing hundreds of evacuations.

MetService experts are warning the weather could again cause more problems.

Meteorologist Ashlee Parks says it's not a particularly out of the ordinary event - but because areas are already wet, there's the potential for further flooding.
