Maritime New Zealand says drunk and drugged drivers have no place behind the wheel

It comes following a large fine for a Queenstown jet boat operator for a crash involving a driver who was on a mix of drugs and alcohol.
Go Orange Limited has been ordered to 150-thousand dollars for the 2020 crash which saw four people injured.
The Otago Daily times reports the driver was on a mix of ecstasy and the hallucinogen MDA.
He also had a breath alcohol level double the legal limit for road.
Maritime New Zealand says all maritime operators have a responsibility to protect their passengers.
