The Tactix hope the influence of Silver Ferns great Donna Wilkins will pay off in more ways than one

Wilkins has been brought in as a specialist shooting coach to work with Ellie Bird and Te Paea Selby-Rickit.

She was known for her no-nonsense tenacious approach during her playing days.

Tactix coach Marianne Delaney-Hoshek hopes that rubs off on her squad.

The Tactix are searching for their first win of the season - they're away to the Magic in Tauranga tonight.

Centre pass is at 7.15pm, with live commentary on GoldAM and iHeart Radio.
