    The AA says a new Auckland parking policy needs work


    Auckland Transport wants to remove kerbside parking for 240 kilometres of the city's roads.

    Roads prioritised for losing parking include Onewa Road, Lake Road, Great North Road, Mt Eden Road and Manukau Road.

    AA's Policy Director says it's part of the council's efforts to half emissions by 2030.

    Martin Glynn says the council is being too ambitious.

    He says halving emissions can't be done that quickly, given the state of Auckland's public transport system.
